| We have had an incredible year thus far. Amy Manfrini brought her Crisis Intervention class to OCC to help out with Caring S.H.O.S. and WOW, what a great group. One of the classes volunteers, Michael, helped us to change the name from Care S.H.O.S. to Caring S.H.O.S. and it fit for us all very well. We have been approved via the state of CA to be a non-profit corporation and were also adopted by Iris Hidalgo and her church Ministerio La Gran Comision Internacional, giving us the tax exempt status that we need to take in monetary donations while allowing those who donate to receive their charitable contribution tax write off. So much more is in store. We have a relationship with a community storage unit to donate to us a space to use for larger storage of
all things we give away. We are hoping to have the use of a moving truck
donated to us for pick up of mass quantities of food as well. We'll keep you all updated more often. |
